going over my preliminary quote.... does bmw normally charge for wheel locks? I assume they use wheel bolts instead of studs... (all my VAG products use bolts, and came with 1 keyed bolt per wheel...)
excuse the ignorance.... 1st new car in 20 yrs
Hi, first post here having been an avid reader for a few weeks now. I've recently put an order through for an M50 in UK (Take a look at my vehicle:). I'm really happy with spec apart from the wheels. I wanted the 858M wheels to optimise range (18"s over 19"s seem to gain quite a bit on the EPA...
I’ve got my car locked in with the 859M wheels at the moment, but I had specced 860M originally in a different exterior colour. I like both of these wheels and can’t make a decision. I have decided that I’ll let the wheel weight make the decision for me. So the question is, does anyone know what...
Just put my pre-order in yesterday in Kitchener, ON Canada...
Best Case scenario is probably delivery in the winter of 2022/23...
Anyone know if the m50 can take 18" rims? Wondering about starting to research winter tires and rims for my new daily driver...
In the BMW configurator you get approximately -16% range if you opt for 20’ sport wheels compared to standard 19’ wheels (18’ have similar range).
Many reviews have criticised the M50 for being inefficient. Especially against the Model 3P.
Would it have been a better strategy by BMW to choose...
In my search for wheels and tires for my upcoming i4 I came across this list of tires BMW deliver on the i4 and figured it could be useful for people on here. (see attached)
I´m trying to find a similar list for all the OEM wheels, but to no avail so far. I may have to compile one myself...
Opening a topic for aftermarket wheels to the i4.
I will get my i4 as a leasing car, where all options are paid during the first contract, and then handed away to the next owner. Thus I went with very minimal options and plan to get aftermarket wheels, which I can use in the next car as well...
I submitted my order for an i4 M50 with the "Style 858M" 18-inch wheels, and my local dealer (in the western United States) sent me a confirmation message including a scan of a Vehicle Inquiry Report that lists all the specifications including those wheels. Later, though, I noticed that the...
I am ordering the edrive 40 with the Msport and dynamic handling packages (among other things).
I had asked for the 19" aero wheels (860M) and the dealer's order bank configurator allowed only the light alloy 859M.
I have read an article that the light alloys promote range by being lighter...
Most countries (Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, France, Denmark, Norway, Greece, Italy....) have the 18" 858M as a standard wheel.
Exceptions to the rule:
USA - UK - Ireland - Australia: 19" 861M
Canada: 19" 860M (at no extra cost: 20" 868M)
Please send me your Digital Brochure so I can add it to the list below.
Indicate the color, the type of wheels, and what interior you have chosen.
Even though you see a model with the same color, send it anyway, maybe the interior is different, or the wheels.
I'll be buying rims and winter tires for our i4 but I want to have some kind of aerodynamic rim of a size that gives me the best range. Here's my questions...
1. As I understand it, smaller rims give you better range? Is this true even if you increase the sidewall of the tire? I'm considering...
Just a service note :)
Someone asked at some point which tires to expect on the M-rims.
My local rim-guy just got these in from BMW:
20"x8,5J , ET35 , 5x112 , ø 66,6mm
BMW SKU: 6895933 , Size 255/35R20 97Y
20"x10J , ET39 , 5x112 , ø 66,6mm
BMW SKU: 6895933, Size...
Beside that I really dont know if I can drive a car with such a front design (my hope is that there will be tuning parts?) I just came across another problem.
Here are the current wheels (sorry for German):
18" M Aerodynamikräder 858 M Bicolor mit MB 513km
19" M LMR Y-Speiche 859 M...
Hi anyone any pics or vids showing M Technical brake and caliper differences vs standard M brakes? I believe the diff is that with the tech upgrades they are bigger but the configurator doesnt show anything. Just interested to know what a big diff it actually is.
Has anybody considered using their winter wheels from their previous 3- or 4-series on their i4? I've got a two-year old set of mat black 18" 405M winter wheels. They're not that pretty, but they shouldn't be. I don't care if they get messed up with grime in the winter. ❄️
Vote for which wheel you think is the best choice.
