Have you tried doing a soft reboot and see if after that, the settings stick? I don't use the native nav, but after the update I checked my settings and suggestions were still turned off and my privacy settings remained as they were before.

 

Twice already. Comes back after the car goes to sleep at night.

 

oof, other than the next 'level' of reboots, I wouldn't know what else it could be. The only even remotely similar issue I experienced was that after the 03/2025 update, my config change for the 5-flash blinker kept reverting back to 3-flashes a few minutes of the car being off, but I resolved it by doing the config again. Your issue is obviously different.

1. Press and hold the Vol knob until the console screen turns black and reboots. This is a basic reset.
2. Press and hold the Vol knob until the console screen turns black and reboots a total of 3 times. This is a harder reset.
3. Get into the car and press the Start button 3 times (don't press the brake) then press and hold the Vol knob for 3 reboots.

 

Well this is getting even weirder. I reset everything, including resetting the BMW ID. Now the setting is off, but it keeps the behavior.

 

And today the setting is back to on. Definitely a bug here. Can someone else try this to see if they can duplicate?

 

Mine seems to stick, m50 2022.
But I had issues before where the car decided to turn all settings on without my consent, repeatedly. I asked bmw who could access the car and change settings. Of course no answer. They eventually did a software update and it came down a bit. It still happened twice in a few months. Or the setting is greyed out for no reason. My car has to go in anyway since the remote commands dont work anymore. I can see the car charging but no commands get out. My app works with my other bmw (i5) and I tried reboot, deleting from app and car and re-pairing. Nothing worked. So I have to bring it back.

 

Mine is all over the place. It's incredibly frustrating. I'm sorry you're having issues as well. These stupid tech issues are so difficult to diagnose and solve.
