Too bad it's not build on an pure-electric platform. Probably means the indoor space will not be optimal.
Luckily Audi is building there A6 on a dedicated EV platform

I just don't get it.
You assume that because the platform is shared that there is something wrong with that.

The interior space of the i4 is more than my E90 had is on par with an E39 5 series.

BMW doesn't make an ipad on wheels.

Tanzanite over tartufo full individual leather with carbon trim.
I'm not implying that it's gonna be bad.
It is just a fact that an EV which has been built on dedicated EV platform can be more spacious then those who share their platform with ICE/hybrid cars.

.. EV which has been built on dedicated EV platform can be more spacious ...
... I think it's a possibility, but ...
Thanks for agreeing with me

Then, I suggest you look at the iX or the Neue Klasse i3/iX3, for the rest of us the i4 and i5 should be good.
Have you actually driven or taken a seat in the iX3 (which shares its platform with the X3)?
It looks like a decent sized car from the outside, but once inside you notice that it is actually not that big.

A great example is the Ioniq 5. Looks like a Golf from the outside, but once you take a seat ...
Comparing it to the iX3, the Ioniq has smaller dimensions but has a higher TBTP (and that doesn't take into account the other more spacious 'parts' of the car)

If don't care about interior space then none of this is an issue of course.
