You can always plug an inverter into a 12v cigarette socket. I assume there's one of those. I don't know how many amps the car will put out, though. Probably enough to allow a 100W device, like most vehicles can handle.

 

There are USB-C outlets in the back of the center console, so the kids riding in the back can plugin their smartphone, tablet, laptop, game or whatever has an external USB charger.

 

 

Sorry for excavation of the thread did you have a chance to test real usbc output? If it is a PD (can charge a laptop maybe, or at least new iPad)

 

The next step up is 100w usb c.

 

Guys Have attached inverters to the 12v battery in the Kona EV and can pull upwards to 1200watts ac.

 

There is a 12v power in the trunk I believe on the Right side.

You could also add a direct connection to the 12v battery, it is i believe on the passenger side under the windshield cowl.

 

Has anyone tested a specific model of DC12v to 110v AC inverter with the i4? Any dangers in doing this? On my long road trip home from the dealer (2 day journey) I wanted to be able to potentially have a laptop (maybe small monitor) to be able to do some work on a charging session.

The Kia EV6 has a 32A GPO in the back seat - good enough for running a coffee machine. Wish BMW had provided something like this. Also the Kia can charge another EV from its Charging port.
