Is there different ones?

 

Looking at bmwusa there seems to be only one type on mat to fit the i4

That tab at the top is meant to be cut off it is just for the hanger that it normally comes on for retail. I got same mats they are nice and I got mine for only 70 bucks

 

I ordered these a few days ago and they arrived at the dealer. They fit very nicely (as they should) and look great.

@Ken does the trunk mats come with the all weather mats or is that separate? May i ask how much you paid ?

 

Unfortunately it’s separate. I ordered it along with the front & rears.

 

Maybe a strange question: how do they sound? Does it make a squeaky sound when your shoes are wet?
I’m also looking to buy these mats but sometimes they make an awful lot of sound 😀

Not silent with every wet shoe I’ve had on them; what little sound there has been hasn’t bothered me.

 

With the trunk mat, can you still easily access the storage underneath?

 

Yes, the mat isn’t that heavy that you can‘t lift it to gain access.

I have them too. The dealer said that the carpeted floor mats that came with the car have to be removed before installing the rubber mats. Did you have to remove the carpeted floor mats before laying down the rubber ones?

If you want to have an encore of your i4 waiting and delivery experience, I recommend ordering the floor mats.

The dealership had no idea when they would arrive or if they were even shipped. They almost recommended that we cancel the order. Then the mats magically showed up 3 weeks after my online order.

I know WeatherTech mats aren't for everyone. We've had good experience with them in other vehicles so we ordered them again. I think the luggage / cargo mat looks good and fits very well.

I quite liked the anti slip blocks idea of WeatherTech. I don't know how well they work but if I hadn't already bought the OEM trunk liner, I would have given the WeatherTech option a shot.

Ah you have a small compartement there, mine is closed there. Seems left out in the latest deliveries?

 

Do you have Weathertech mats for the rear passengers? I am deciding if I should get the OEM ones are Weathertechs..

 

The OEM ones are much better quality and material than Weathertech from my perspective. And I think the TuxMats are even better.

 

TuxMats are available this morning... just ordered my set.

 

How are you liking the tux mats? They look great to me but the sides are too loose in my opinion and the clips they come with are not able to Velcro to the sides. I am thinking of returning, but wanted to see how others are doing with them.

 

Has anyone bought the TuxMat for the i4 and have insight on what they think of them? @ssh you mentioned you've had these in the past, how are they working for you in your new fancy i4?

 

I am returning mine. Personally, I feel the sides take up a little too much space and I keep rubbing my driving foot against them. The clips are flimsy and didn’t hold the mat firmly against the sides. I’m going with the official bmw ones instead.

 

My car came with the all weather mats. Where do you store the carpet mats? I'm kinda thinking about putting the entire plastic bag full of mats under the hood (on top of the engine guard). But maybe that's a bad idea...

I put mine in our atic. when it comes time to sell the car I'll try and remember where I put them and once found, I'll toss the worn out All Weather Mats and put the original brand new carpets back in the car.

 

Up until now, I've been a steady/loyal customer of WeatherTech's Floor Mats. But these BMW Mats were significantly less money and they are available for the rear seats which WeatherTech is not. I'm extremely pleased with these BMW Mats. Got them for Front, Back and Cargo areas. The OP's pictures are quite accurate IMHO.
