Thanks for sharing this. My purely anecdotal accounts related to those findings, regarding random samples of Electrify America chargers. Their appearance matched those in the video, but I can't be sure of whether they were the "new" ones in question:
Two weeks ago I took a day trip from about New York City to Boston and back. Temps were consistently at or a little above freezing. I used the same bank of EA chargers once in both directions. Both of the particular chargers I used worked well.
Two days ago I took a day trip from about New York City to Hartford and back. Temps were consistently just below freezing. The one EA charger I used was so cranky that I had to call EA to have the session initialized.
Random samples and very few, yes. But I am willing to believe that these EA chargers are prone to dysfunction in temps below freezing.
