Hello everyone. Finally Eibach is the first to introduce sping kit for the eDrive40. It is 30mm at the front and 25-30 at the rear.

Part code No is E10-20-053-01-20.

I already emailed Eibach in Germany and they confirmed it with the following restictions.

18Without levelling control.
20Except vehicels with 4WD.

Does any i4 has leveling control?

Soon it will be at their website too.

Yes, the eDrive40 without adaptive damping has air suspension at the rear. I think the adaptive dampers have no leveling.

All i4 have rear air suspension, regardless of adaptive shocks.

The “without leveling control” restriction is strange.

So, it's limited to eDrive40's without MSport package.

That seems less than optimal?
YAYA! This is what I needed :D

I don't get it. As far as I know, all the i4 have air suspension and levelling control. I have the eDrive40 without M sport package and without the adaptive suspension and sometimes when I park the car, the rear suspension is lowering itself. Therefore, it has some kind of levelling control. Or is that something else? I thought the idea of the air suspension in all i4's is to keep the same height when fully loaded.

Maybe lost in translation. Damper control is probably what they meant.

What is damper control? Adaptive M suspension? I have that and really hope this works for my car 🙏

In my opinion it is a general restriction they have to put it. It does not apply strictly for the car but for some cars in general. For example X5 can be level controlled from inside the car. Or this is what I wish for because I will probably order the kit before I receive the car!!!

Any news regarding this, i cant seem to find any more info on their website?
30mm is about 25% lift of the CoG. Wouldn't that cause stability issues...?

What does the Swedish road authorities say about these modifications? Is it safe to do it in Sweden? I mean, going from 125mm to 155mm road clearance is a lot, so how about stability?

Hi, maybe im misunderstanding you but since this is a lowering kit the ground clearance should decrease and therefore increase stability? (depending on suspension setup and such ofc)

Yes, because Eibach has been inducing stability issues in cars for more than 30 years.

:) My bad... I thought it was a kit to increase the road clearance, which I would be interested in, since the 125mm is a bit too low for my own comfort when driving the roads I am driving, though I hope it will not cause issues. Anyway, I have seen kits to lift the car, but only for other brand. I though this was it... Sorry.

OK, so I am not an expert and have no idea about Eibach or their history, but it seems that if Tmpmbw is right, then you are also not that well informed, since this kit is LOWERING the car... (n) ...but maybe you don't know what CoG is, or you didn't read the first sentence I wrote. 😅

You are no expert, and yet you get a CoG calculation of the effects of a set of lowering springs in a car to then conclude the possibility of stability issues when you did not know that Eibach does lowering springs.

Yes, moving on.
