The i4 all-electric four-door coupe will be available with a three package groups to choose from: Charged, Fully Charged & Supercharged. According to this document believed to be for US-market models.

Brace yourselves for all the "Supercharged" jokes like when Porsche brought the Turbo name to the Taycan.

I sure hope these packages are not for the i4 & i4 M50 in the US. The US website has options listed mostly for the regular 4 series as a la carte.
I want a sunroof, but don’t want to pay for all the options under the sun. If I’m forced to go with the supercharged package on an i4 M50, the total price may be right up there with a base Porsche Taycan…hmm
The tow hitch makes sense. The electric VW ID.4 has one in the US as well. It’s more aerodynamic to carry bikes on a Thule tow hitch rack than a roof rack. Aerodynamics and range are KEY for electric cars. My neighbor has a tow hitch on his Tesla Y from the factory and he retrofitted a tow hitch onto his Honda Accord Hybrid for his bikes.

Not 100% and I was a bit skeptical about it being for the US. But hard to say when info directly from BMW is quite limited.
In Denmark / Europe, you don’t have to buy a package. You can buy the car without any package and spec whatever options you want individually (with few exceptions).
I went for the Fully Charged package, as I wanted Metallic Paint and Comfort Access, and then added Driving Assistant Pro and the Drive Recorder individually.

Yeah I would love to get some clarity on which trims are more geared for more range.
If BMW takes a page from the Porsche Taycan book acceleration will be based on the low rolling resistance tires with aero wheels and range will be done on the biggest rims with summer tires. Which I can see them doing since they seem to over deliver on their ICE cars.

Yeah pretty much. I spoke to the dealer and gave him my budget and if it would work and we have agreed it will with extras to be added. I’m going from two cars, a leaf and a 3 series down to one so the budget is pretty healthy. My order is attached if it helps.
