The i4 all-electric four-door coupe will be available with a three package groups to choose from: Charged, Fully Charged & Supercharged. According to this document believed to be for US-market models.
Ah nice, yeah I'm waiting for some info from my dealer but have heard nothing other than the original contact. They said I would be able to get Nov production and Dec delivery even without actually placing an order just yet. I am really interested to get finance info though as that is where the decision will be made for me. Are you paying full retail? I'm thinking it might be difficult to get discounts at least in the immediacy.Yeah pretty much. I spoke to the dealer and gave him my budget and if it would work and we have agreed it will with extras to be added. I’m going from two cars, a leaf and a 3 series down to one so the budget is pretty healthy. My order is attached if it helps.
Yeah I can’t see where any discounts will be available in the first few months. Hoping a good apr rate and a good residual should keep the monthly payments at a good level. I think the price is very fair compared to an M3/M4 with comparable figures.Ah nice, yeah I'm waiting for some info from my dealer but have heard nothing other than the original contact. You won't know 100% until you get your localised brochure, but as far as I know, Live Cockpit Professional adds HUD.I'm browsing through other countries' i4 configurators (BTW I am Greek) and noticing big differences in the equipment packages.
In fact there are no "Technology" or "Comfort", "Plus" or otherwise, packages at the Greek configurator. Which I guess might be a good thing, since you are not obliged to buy a whole package and equipment you don't want, just to get something you actually want.
(Although I am not sure if the configurator enforces you later to include the other parts, but in the Greek configurator, there are no explicit packages except "Innovation" and "Business class".)
Basically I'm looking for what is included, or what the differences are, between "Driving Assistant Plus" vs. "Professional" and "Live cockpit" vs. "Professional" because I don't want to buy things that I'm not going to use or interfere too much with my driving.
(I think that the previous PDF has some insight on this, but I want to be sure.)
Also I spotted many errors in some configurators like wrong pictures or references of iDrive ...7 instead of 8, so if you're conscious of what are you buying and paying, just be careful and double check before you order !
Thank you Peter! You won't know 100% until you get your localised brochure, but as far as I know, Live Cockpit Professional adds HUD.
Driving Assistant Professional adds:
- Active cruise control (adaptive)
- Lane assist
- Avoidance assist
- Possibly side collision avoidance
Yeah I agree there's some other stuff listed although HUD is definitely the main one. The HUD is certainly not necessary but will be something you get used to - I currently have an A35 which has very similar large screens but I also have the HUD on it and I'm almost always using the HUD instead of the main instrument cluster.Thank you Peter!
About the "Live Cockpit Plus" vs. "Professional" or 6U2 vs 6U3 you are right the major difference seems to be the HUD, (which by the way I don't think this car needs, because of the large screens.)
But, I'm also reading (on the pdf I posted earlier), a couple more minor (?) differences like "Display of sattelite images, buildings and detailed street view" and "Display widgets such as album cover and vehicle status" for the Pro version, which means that the Plus version might have a "plain vanilla" version of navigation without all the bells and whistles.
For the live cockpit professional it says you will get HUD and argumented reality.
By putting the fossil version side by side with the electric one in this catalog, I'm pretty sure customers will think twice before buying the petrol versions...
Thank you very much. I have had some dialogue with the Danish dealer, as only a limited number of prices have been made public.By putting the fossil version side by side with the electric one in this catalog, I'm pretty sure customers will think twice before buying the petrol versions...
That's good to know!I saw a test drive of the iX where they used the AR HUD, so it’s definitely there with iDrive8.
BMW has to have Augmented Reality!Swedish automag AMS test drove the iX and said “Navigationssystemet beräknar snabbt den önskade rutten och visar vägen med hjälp av augemented reality-funktionen”. Haven’t seen it in a video yet though.
