Any cars with Android Automotive operating system will be getting HD Maps.

HD Maps can see where you are in a lane measured by inches vs standard maps that measures by yards.

This helps by instantly telling you that you need to change lanes to exit, correcting a map if you miss a lane, etc plus updated road signs, barriers, etc.

This will make a huge difference in driving and it will decide whether I continue my order for a new i4 M50.

You will not get 8.5 or 9 in an i4.

That said, the i4's built-in nav can tell lane and prompt to move over. And does. I've found it helpful. CarPlay can, too, but it's animated like the iDrive nav.

Will Google Auto via my phone using Maps show lanes? And/or does it appear in the dash/HUD?
