Just dispatched from factory.. 🙃
Yes, BMW Genius gave me that date. We're on the train together. I got excited at that delivery date, then noticed you don't have an ocean to cross for yours
Was that an inquiry to the genius to get that estimate?
Now on 154---seems to be moving along nicely.Awesome! "Awaiting Carrier Assignment" 😊
We must all be on the same ship possibly. My dealer said I should have my car in 2-3 weeks. 🤗.. Baltimore Port.Just dispatched from factory.. 🙃
I’m in Houston… almost certainly headed to Galveston. We’ll see!We must all be on the same ship possibly. My dealer said I should have my car in 2-3 weeks. 🤗.. Baltimore Port.
You'll go to Brunswick and then by train to the PC.Mine is PCD so I think it is Charleston. We may or may not be on the same boat since you are about a day ahead of me and not all ships make a stop at all ports.
It's all over the place. Some have waited a few days, others a couple weeks. There doesn't seem to be a lot of reason to it, although my suspicion has to do with the number of cars heading for ports on the ship routes (there are many other cars and manufacturers, so there's a pretty broad set of inputs to the algorithm).Seems like most are waiting 3+ weeks to actually get on a ship, unfortunately. I’m build week 16 and still waiting![]()
Awesome!! I made it also.. 😊 Hoping I can get on either one of the WW ships that leave this week. One leaves on the 10th and other one leaves on 5/11Made it to the port … now waiting for a boat.
I have been reading mixed posts about the port as some say Charleston while others say Brunswick for PCD. Thanks for confirming. You'll go to Brunswick and then by train to the PC.
The Vehicle Information Report your CA can give you shows the port of entry. It's my understanding that most PCD cars go to Brunswick. It's possible they go to Charleston, but it's a much smaller facility for BMW and the transport isn't as direct (BMW uses Brunswick for export from Spartanburg for the X series, as well, and there are direct trains).I have been reading mixed posts about the port as some say Charleston while others say Brunswick for PCD. It has been sitting at the port since Friday morning. Hope it gets on a ship soon.
@610Roaming , let me know if you hear anything. I called BMW Genius today and they don't yet have any information about ships. The port of entry for mine is Galveston since the car is coming to Dallas.Awesome!! I made it also.. 😊 Hoping I can get on either one of the WW ships that leave this week. Mine has been in port for more than 3 weeks waiting to be shipped to Galveston ( build week 16). Next ship heading to Galveston is WW Arc Independence (05/11) followed by K-line Drive green highway (departing on 05/23) but both expected to arrive to Galveston on 06/08.@610Roaming , let me know if you hear anything. Thanks, om2023. Hopefully all of us in Texas waiting for cars get on one of those ships.Mine has been in port for more than 3 weeks waiting to be shipped to Galveston ( build week 16). I'll have been at port for 7 days tomorrow, there is a ship leaving tomorrow for the East coast fingers crossed I'm on it.It seems some people wait a few days at the port and others may take several weeks. Not sure what determines that. So far I've seen the shortest wait time of 7 days
