I found out last week my build week is 18 but didn't see a support group and JMM71 suggested I create one so here it is.

@610Roaming , let me know if you hear anything. I called BMW Genius today and they don't yet have any information about ships. The port of entry for mine is Galveston since the car is coming to Dallas.
I tried calling today for what it’s worth. No new info other than they try and batch vehicles to send full boats (I would hope so!).

I called up today as well and was told I'm still waiting to be assigned. Have been at the port since the 4th. Have a feeling I'm going to be waiting awhile.

I've been at the port since 5/5. It looks like there is a boat that is supposed to depart today and another one tomorrow to east coast. I am really hoping mine gets on one of them.

Unfortunately, a 2 to 3 week wait at port seems to be the norm...

I got the same response from BMW Genius.
Still status 193, since 08/05/23, sitting at Cuxhaven Port waiting on a ship. 🚢

Brittania Seaways RoRo currently birthed at Cuxhaven, so might get on this one. 🤞

Generally departs for Immingham, UK every few days.

I note that it has just departed port. 🤞🍀

Most week 15ers are still waiting for a ship, me included. Arrived at port on 4/18.

I’m at 193 - arrived at Cuxhaven. My dealer is in Southampton so assume I’ll be on a UECC Cuxhaven to Southampton boat at some point this week.
So I left Cuxhaven on 10th May, arrived at Southampton 12th May, have passed through customs and awaiting dispatch to the dealer who are expecting the car this week. Hopefully have my hands on it next week 🤞

Yea I called up again today and was told it's taking 4-6 weeks to get a ship on average.

Yes. I was told the same thing yesterday. I'm so glad that my current lease isn't up until August..
Boss sends email to all Genius team members: If customers ask, tell them 4-6 weeks to get on a ship so they'll stop bugging us.

Genius team to i4talk members: It's taking 4-6 weeks to get on a ship.

i4talk member evidence: It's ranging from <1 week to over a month with no real visible rationale.

For whatever it's worth, i've seen the date of the 18th thrown around in the context of this thread. When I spoke with my CA a couple of weeks ago regarding PDC, he said something that didn't line up with what the website said, but now I wonder if they have access to more data than the website surfaces.
He said at the time (my car was literally being built when I spoke to him):
  • Congrats, your car is currently being assembled
  • (Mind you, this was on the 4th or 5th of May, with a 5/5 production date) He then said "It should be complete on the 18th, and should be here a couple of weeks after."

I figure, why tell me it would be done on the 18th, with a 5/5 production date, and being in the assembly stages around 5/4? That's silly, their process doesn't need 2-3 more weeks to "finish building".

My hope, is that he was seeing a shipping date, and phrased it that way.

My fingers are crossed for the 18th...

Congratulations!! This gives me hope. The next ship to East Coast I believe is Monday the 22nd. Hopefully I will be on that one!! 🤞🏽

I am still showing "at port" also. The next WW ship to Galveston leaves on May 22, so I am hoping my car is on that one. After that, it's June 6, then June 16. Frustrating!
