Every once in a while you get a grumpy CHP that decides they want to inconsistently enforce the "written" speed limit that day... A couple of years ago on I80 between Vacaville and Sacramento I had a CHP race up to get next to me, get on the loud speaker and say, "Do you want to drive the speed limit, or get a ticket?" I was doing 73mph, was in the middle lane, and there wasn't another car for at least 200yds fore/aft (including sides) besides the CHP..

FWIW this poop never happens in Michigan. You can drive by cops going 80mph and they won't blink.

That sucks, but I'm actually surprised/impressed he knew what an i4 is. I feel like the average person just sees "BMW", which is presumed to be ICE.

Many police forces have to train on ability to quickly identify vehicle make, model and year.
