Pretty neat video that shows under the same test environment, the M50 has relentless top-end acceleration in comparison.

If you quickly scan a few shots, it also shows the BMW with 56% SoC, and 134miles of range remaining. If you reverse calculate it, it translates into about 240 miles @ 100% SoC. This is a 20" wheel'd M50, which the EPA rates it at 227 miles, and given this test wasn't to maximize range and more to show acceleration, it may appear BMW is sandbagging range :geek: :geek:

In my experience no electric car shows the actual miles remaining accurately. I have a Tesla, and that's always optimistic, sometimes wildly so. I leave the display on %age SOC, not miles.

Yes, this is true for any vehicle whether it's BEV or ICE. The estimate range is based on how it was driven leading up to the present state, which is why I was surprised to see 56% SOC @ 134miles of estimated range, in a good way of course.
