Happy Friday Everyone! I picked up an i4 edrive 35 last Tuesday. Love the car but am having a charging issue (big one). When I plug the car into our home level 2 (Grizzl-e), it charges fine but gets stuck and won't come out. We’ve had an Audi etron for 2 years and never had an issue. Also, I had a 530e that used this charger with and never had any issues. I found a few posts with somewhat similar problems and tried everything with no luck (lock/unlock 10 times, reset idrive, etc). Called BMW roadside, after two hours of waiting and finally getting trasnferred to a master tech, I got it out by sticking a screwdriver in there per his instructions. So, took it onto the dealership, they tested it and found no issues. Got it back yesterday and sure enough it got stuck again. Went straight for the screwdriver last night with no luck (spent 2 hours). This morning, finally after another 2 hours I got it out. So, it’s back at the dealership. I also provided them with my Grizzl-e home charger.
Has anyone else run into similar issues? Any advice? I noticed that when I did plug it it, the led on the car by the charging point would flash blue (indicating it’s charging). The flashing blue light stopped after about two minutes, though the car was still charging? Is this normal? I would think it would blink until it’s finished? Thanks in advance and can’t wait to not worry about plugging this thing in!
