Good question. I was thinking that too a few days back, but forgot to ask...
That manual has a lot of stuff in it. Might be something I have to read 🤣 🤣 🤣@BlueHoosier, yes, the brake lights will come on based on the degree of deceleration, regardless of pedal usage. See excerpt of the owner's manual:
Deceleration:
The degree of the deceleration depends on the selector lever position, the energy recovery setting and the driving situation.
Depending on the degree of the deceleration, the brake lights will come on without stepping on the brake pedal.
The deceleration very fast in selector lever position B.
During the deceleration, energy is recovered and the high-voltage battery is charged.
I had my sister follow me and report whether brake lights came on in B mode. That manual has a lot of stuff in it. Might be something I have to read 🤣 🤣 🤣
I downloaded the Drivers Guide app months ago. When you don't have a car, you can dream by reading the manual to put yourself to sleep at night. That manual has a lot of stuff in it. Might be something I have to read 🤣 🤣 🤣
You and me both, my friend!I downloaded the Drivers Guide app months ago. When you don't have a car, you can dream by reading the manual to put yourself to sleep at night.
I think I have read it 4 times now, plus consult on regular basis for verifying questions. Its helpful, but no replacement for sitting in the real car and messing around with the options.
I did the same downloaded the pdf from a link I found in this forum and read the entire manual. 10 more days until my Spartanburg PC delivery.I downloaded the Drivers Guide app months ago. When you don't have a car, you can dream by reading the manual to put yourself to sleep at night.

yesWhat if you are stopped at a light after decelerating? Do they stay on without a foot on the brake?
Ha. Good to hear I was not the only one doing this!,I downloaded the Drivers Guide app months ago. When you don't have a car, you can dream by reading the manual to put yourself to sleep at night.

Of course.... if you're watching your live vehicle on screen while coming to a fast stop, its probably because you were watching your live vehicle on screen.... I wonder if you can configure the HUD to show the live vehicle? If you look at the Live Vehicle, whatever that is called, on your screen while you are driving you can see your brake lights come on when the regen comes on in adaptive mode and I assume every mode. Kind of cool.
No.... I wonder if you can configure the HUD to show the live vehicle?
You can use the widget.Too bad "live vehicle" doesn't show in the center screen. How to easily access "live vehicle?"
Actually, you just need to try a few braking scenarios on live vehicle, under safe conditions, to learn the brakelight conventions.Of course.... if you're watching your live vehicle on screen while coming to a fast stop, its probably because you were watching your live vehicle on screen....
