Finally, it's here, compliments of Mat Watson. Confirms what I thought, 1) the 0-60 times difference between the 2 cars always a spec game, Tesla has in fine print that their times excludes the roll-off from standing, the BMW is actually a tiny bit faster, and 2) the BMW is tuned to keep on accelerating past the US highway speeds. The braking performance surprises me though, but there is that extra 368kg...

it also confirms that BMW is sandbagging EPA range estimates :geek: :geek:

looking at the video again, it seems like Matt Watson is slower to react in both rollling races where the Tesla driver had a slightly quicker reaction time.

quite the opposite actually. The manufacture uses EPA-specified guidelines to do their own testing, and there are various loop-holes (that Tesla uses to be able to print big EPA numbers that its owners literally can not match, and if so, rarely do) and other gray area's within the testing environment that pretty much all manufacturers are self-reporting EPA figures in the states.
