The car says I can still drive safely, but the car really wants a service appointment.

This is literally days after the 07.2025 iDrive update. I swear I'm gonna stop upgrading. Things were fine.

Maybe this correctly detects an actual problem. IDK.

Literally a week from driving from Orlando to Atlanta to go see Jimmy Carr.

Will post an update after service appt tomorrow. Too soon to pick up a plane ticket for reasonable price, and Hope it doesnt mean I have to get a loaner or (gasp) rent a car... (sigh)

Doesn't mean the two are connected. Haven't seen any similar reports from this upgrade and statistically there is always going to be some people who are going to develop an unrelated fault within days of a software update.

Hope it turns out to be something simple. As we have seen from previous occurrences, the message itself is no indication of the problem and can be something trivial or something serious.

the loaner is a 2025 edrive40. It’s funny how my m50 feels different than this one. Including getting used to idrive 8.5
I drive an eDrive 40 with active suspension snd the rest of the M Sport bits. Over the last couple of years I have had base model i4 and loaded M50s as loaners for various service occasions. The difference between the base i4 and mine is huge... the difference between my car and the M50 is subtle unless you stomp on it. I understand "getting used to iDrive 8.5. They put the buttons in the wrong places! :ROFLMAO:

Good luck! I have had this a few times. Worst one was five weeks at the dealership while Munich decided what to do!
