My i4 M50 is my 5th BMW. When I got it, I was surprised to see that it would save my preferred driving mode, Sport Individual, as the default mode whenever I would start the car. All my previous ICE BMWs required me to push the Sport or M button once each time I got in the car to get to my individual driving mode. I was thrilled to never have to do this.
Then, last week, I updated to 11/2022.63. Now, it almost always defaults to Comfort and I have to press the Sport button three times to get to Sport Individual. I say almost always because if I get back in to the car before the iDrive turns off completely (within a few minutes of turning the car off), it stays in Sport Individual.
I called BMW Genius who had me do a triple reboot, but it didn’t solve the problem. I’m concerned it’s a change with the new software. I’m hoping someone here can help me figure out how to save the Sport Individual driving mode so that it stays as the default mode whenever I turn in the car.
