BMW has high hopes for the i4, so much so that they're setting itself up as the electric version of the E30. It's not a coincidence that the E30 is in this i4 concept video.

I reckon it’s a game changer and will suck up all the people waiting to dip their toes in the EV water. BMW is a trusted name and all the drawbacks are pretty much gone...

Assuming there aren't any setbacks (I don't see why there would be) it should be a hit as their flagship EV.
