Factory or Dealer Accessory - 19 Inch Style 859 Y-Spoke Cold Weather Wheel and Tire Set

I an in the New England region and I have eDrive40 on order. The car is built and currently at the port waiting for a ship. I recently noticed on BMW USA website, that if you order eDrive40 you can also add a set of 19" 859 Y-Spoke Cold Weather Wheel and Tire Set as a second set of tiers for $1,640 only! I did not know about this when I ordered. Researching this and per a Bimmerpost thread, BMW is offering them for this price to try help marketing the RWD version in the Northeast region of the US.

Purchasing these through shopbmwusa.com, they would cost $3,247. So it would be significantly cheaper ordering them along the car order. Does anyone know if these can be added to my order after the car is built and before delivery? Is there a possibility I could snag that deal when I get the car?

Ask your dealer. It's probably too late for changes.

I did ask. He does not know and looking into it. I thought it may be better to ask here to see if someone knew anything about this.

Currently asking my dealer as well; never saw this on the configurator as I changed to performance tires after the fact. :/

I did ask my CA about this last month and was told that I couldn't add these at this time. He was still going to do some research to see if there was something that could be done. Definitely ask and see what they can do for you.
