I bought some 1/4" pinstripe tape to experiment with. It leaves a sliver of gray showing which almost looks factory. I like it and will probably leave it this way now. If it discolors, its easy to replace. Best $6 mod I have come across for my car!

Picking up my car tomorrow and going to see my vinyl guy on Thursday. I‘m getting the silver trim on the grill covered but I’m also curious if anyone has seen anything new or interesting, any new ideas or substrates that are being added to the grill to make it less shiny? Car was tinted at the dealer yesterday and I have an appt Tuesday after Memorial Day to get the calipers painted red. Found a local shop for the calipers.

I wrapped mine in carbon fiber.

Really nicely done! I am getting my grille wrapped next week. (I have the full silver grille.)
Mind sharing how much it costs? I ordered a black jet with shadow line ( should arrive at the end of July) and I would love to have the grill covered too

Sure! In addition to the grille, I'm also getting a strip of PPF below the liftgate (above the bumper). I am paying $250 altogether. I think it is probably 200 just for the grille.

Pretty reasonable! I might include the area on the door handles since looks like it can scratch easily
Thanks a lot!

YES! You should do this. Actually I should do this too. I already see minor scratches.

Im paying $200 to have the silver part of the the grill wrapped in high quality black gloss. Now considering black gloss wrap on the door handles.

I bought some of the tape. Curious where you started so that the seam is least visible.
