As I did with my previous car (a 2017 Audi), I wanted to check out what i4 fuse to use to power a dash cam. Its bad enough that trying to find fuse cards for the i4 is an exercise of futility. Nothing in the manual even about locations (but I did find the locations in a 4 Series manual) and the link in the i4 manual using a VIN to download a pdf card doesn't work. I did find a post on another forum that, although not for an i4, did a great job of showing how to get into the front fuse box. Unlike the i4's fuse box in the trunk, the front fuse box (which is below the glove box) is awkward to get into and the fuse layout is very difficult to get to. That said, here is my question --- How in the 'ell do you get the front fuse box cover back on? The thumbscrews are very flimsy and, because access to them is very tight (see thumbnail attached), they are difficult to turn using fingers. And, even though the cover appears lined up correctly, the thumb screws will not engage to securely attach the cover back in place. I have spent a couple hours in a very awkward position on this without success. So, if anybody has successfully gotten into their i4's front fuse box and replaced its cover PLEEEESE share how you did it with me.
