Nearly 12 months since my i4 M50 order was placed and still no locked in build and delivery date. Decided to upgrade my current ride to a G80 M3C and cancel the i4 order. Might join the EV crew as part of the “new class” in 5 years or so.
Hope those with orders get to enjoy their new cars in the near future, and some of you might be one more number up the queue 😀

Whilst I’m disappointed that BMWAG has let down so many Australian customers, I’m pleased that you’ve got an exciting new ride on the way and a longer term plan to join what will hopefully be a much more equitable and mature EV market.

Real shame. At least you know if you get your New Class order in next week you’ll probably have it by 2025. All the best with the M3C!

Going with M3 is a wise decision. Charging infrastructure in Australia is too bad at the moment. 5 years of Chargefox subscription is useless, most of the DC chargers are faulty.

Bummer, but I get it. I almost canceled my order when I got delayed in January. The wait times are one thing but the lack of communication is another. Enjoy your M3C!

Awesome alternative.

Went to dinner with a few people a couple of weeks back and one of the women just got a m3. Needless to say when her husband had to walk a few blocks to the garage I volunteered to accompany him. Id be lying if I said I didn't have a second thought about my energizer bunny on wheels.

With that said my eDrive40 covers 99.999999% of my needs.

We received our Vehicle in 17 weeks. Would have been 16 had not for a stop sale. Having said that, I am not sure I could have waited a year for our i4 especially had I tested the BMW M2 6 speed manual transmission. A neighbor let me drive his M2 as we admired each other's cars yesterday and all I can say is WOW! I am however happy that we did get the i4 and would have chosen it over the M2 but not if I had to wait a year for getting our i4.
