I did this recently. Had the grey frames on the grill and diffusor in the back wrapped in vinyl gloss black (I have the exterior shadow line package). Also tinted the tai lights.
Edit: its not vinyl, I got PPF

Looking to wrap the frame of the grill in black and trying to decide if gloss black PPF is worth double the cost.

People who have wrapped their grill with vinyl – how’s the vinyl holding up? My main concern is rock chips.

People who have done the same with gloss black PPF – how does it look? Any lifting from the thicker material, or any silver poking out? I’ve seen here that many installers don’t have to remove the grill to PPF it, so concerned about the ability of PPF to contour to the shape of the grill frame.

Where did you get the tints from?

You mean me? Its PPF, got it installed professionally. I dont have any info on what they used unfort.
