Your i4 is ~ 1 year old and you need to replace the key fob battery?

 

Yeah my second keyfob stopped working. I called support because I couldn't find programming instructions and only thing they could suggest is to replace battery. So I thought I'd try that at very least...

 

Put the mechanical key or a flat head screw driver, wrap with a tape on the tip to protect and slide into this slot and twist. Key fob should split open. YMMV dont blame me if it breaks. your fob looks different than mine. Did they change the key fob design in 2023?

Edit: I just opened mine with fingers it was pretty easy but yours look completely different

 

 

Sorry guys, I'm a moron. That was keyfob from different car. It just looked very similar to my BMW and was in the drawer next to actual BMW key... Ugh this is embarrassing
