Anyone knows how to save your head up display setting ( not position , the format) in i4? Mine switches back to default every time I get back to the car. My keys are linked and my bmw ID is set as well. All other parameters are fine. The position of head up is saved as well.
thanks in advance

What custom formatting can you do?

I find this is quite annoying too...
HUD does not save your previous view style but defaults to standard view every time you restart the vehicle.
For example, if you were in directional view with the compass, it should default to that the next time you start your car. But it does not.

Have you tried a “Set” after you set it up? Apparently, “Set” does more than just seats!

worked when I registered my key id properly; got HUD working the way that I wanted and left and locked the car. Cannot remember if I hit "set" as well but at that time the software also needed updating so carried out that update at the same time. It also worked for my wife's key so must have done something correctly.🤗

Mine has always stayed where I left it

Mine is where I left it, always.

Do you have your profile set up? Does it get selected when you get in the car? Have you used Set with your profile?

That's just weird. Mine never changes! After I set up my HUD, I have used Set - 1. The manual says it saves the location of where the HUD displays:

Memory function

Principle
The following settings can be stored and, if necessary, retrieved using the memory function:

â–· Seat position.
â–· Exterior mirror adjustment.
â–· Depending on the equipment: height of the Head-up display

When I set the format, it never changes.

Are you moving between profiles somehow? I don't know why it would change the HUD format.

This was annoying me but someone gave me the answer the other day. It’s in the HUD settings - turn off one of the settings - driving mode display or something. It means that my HUD is now in Standard mode when I switch between Comfort, Eco and Sport. You can always put the daft diamond up via the steering wheel !

I’ve also turned off the annoying splash screens on the main nav screen when you change modes.
