I figured, rather than spamming other threads with my car, I'd just start a new thread to post progress pictures, and other information about my ownership experience. The car has been incredible, so there isn't much to update there. I love driving it, and look for every opportunity to do so!

Photos

📸 Delivery, and misc first day photos
📸 Interior photos, mostly showing the matte wood trim
📸 Exterior photos, mostly showing the tail lights, and headlights
📸 Car wash photos
📸 Front reflector swap, and spoiler install
📸 Random
📸 Flat Tire
📸 Door Cards

Mods

=> Wrapped the headlights in PPF (only did the headlights, because I find that they're the first part to age/yellow on a car)
=> Wrapped the B pillars with PPF. I lightly scratched the driver side B pillar while cleaning the car, so I decided to protect them, since they're flat gloss plastic pieces that are easily scratched, and very visible.
=> Wrapped the door cups, and handles in PPF (same reason as above. Despite my gf and I being really careful when opening the doors, I noticed some light scratches developing in the door cups)
=> Replaced the side orange reflectors with body colored ones from IND
=> Removed the factory spoiler, and replaced it with the gloss black PSM version of this spoiler: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100....order_list.order_list_main.15.34eb1802tYOmmF
=> Removed the i4, and 50 badges. I left the M for now, since it matches the sides/grille, but I might remove that as well for a cleaner look
=> Tinted the tail lights, and rear reflectors (I actually don't know the percentage. I just wanted it to look dark. I should probably go back/call to find out)

* Please note that the lights were turning off as I was snapping this picture, so this isn't a good indication of their brightness. It's really difficult to take a picture with the lights on if you use Digital Key like I do!

Shoutout to @CEDDY for encouraging me to install the reflectors, and spoiler that were sitting in my house for a few weeks!

Got around to taking some pics at dawn. Brightness seems to not be impacted too much (I'll take pics next to an untinted i4 when we get around to doing the meetup in the summer). There's also the third brake light for braking!

I asked BMW about the M Performance diffuser, and was told that it was >$3k CAD before installation! I don't even like the CF, which is the most expensive part. I just like the shape; if it was available in gloss black for cheaper, I'd consider it. Hoping more options become available on AliExpress soon! There is currently one, but it's CF, and doesn't look as nice as the M Perf version.

Car looks great!

IMO if you're debaging, better to go all the way (ie, remove the rear and side M).

I'm not usually a fan of tinted taillights, but they seem to work really well on your car! Likely due to the gloss black spoiler. Well done (y)

Looking forward to see your ride in person soon :)

And I hear you on the cost of the m performance rear diffuser in Canada. $2700 for JUST the centre CF piece!!!

Thanks for the feedback @8TinBoCO , and @toosteeley!

I'm still considering the full debadge. I'd do it if there was a way to cleanly remove the grille badge, but unfortunately, that leaves a hole :( I'm considering plasti-dipping the badges first, and yes, I can't wait until we do that meetup!

I thought of covering it with a black 'M' badge but my car has PPF over the hole and it makes it much less visible so I left it as is. I think it is one of those things you notice 'because you know it is there'. I'm sure no one else sees it.

Nearly six months in and sometimes when I'm deep in thought returning to my car, I will catch sight of my car and think "Wow, that is a fine looking car" and then remember it is mine 😍

Your first point is so true, and I totally agree on your second point as well 😍 Dravit Grey is an amazing color. I had a chance to see BG and DG side by side at the place that tinted my tail lights:

Finally listened to everyone's advice regarding debadging, especially @ssh and @cruzer666, although the final straw was this thread:

It's now fully debadged:

Someone stole my ///M badge
You know people steal the wheels as well? Maybe to be on the safe side...

Welcome to the de-badged club. Much nicer in my opinion. What did you do about the M on the grill? Mine has PPF which covers the hole and so it isn't very visible. I've toyed with the idea of a black M to stick over it but it's something I probably won't do.

I left the side and grill badges, but I'm probably going to end up removing the side badges. Not sure what to do about the grill yet, since I don't have PPF on it. I'm considering plastidipping it.
I left the grille badge. Just enough to have people say, "Huh?"

There’s also a hole that’s left if you remove it 🙂

Looks good @generic.user, now most people will think you’re driving a regular BMW gas sedan

^ To be fair, even with badges I bet most people think it's a regular BMW gas sedan ;)

The green vehicle plates are more of a give away than the badges!

I've been doing a lot of trips out of the city lately, just for fun. I don't usually have enough time to actually stay anywhere, and I hate the traffic, and prefer the calm of the night, so they just end up being long night drives. My fiance likes long car rides, so it works out for us. We usually head out late on Friday (around 22:00), go somewhere "far", and head back right away just for fun. We've been to Parry Sound, Welland, Peterborough, and a few other places (usually 300-500km round trip). We usually get home around 05-07:00 on Saturday morning 😅

Charging has been surprisingly painless. My dad is the type of person with serious range anxiety, even though his EQS 580 SUV has amazing range, he's never charged it outside of the house. It makes me wonder why my experience has been so vastly different. Here I am going to remote places (Parry Sound) in the middle of the night without ever worrying about charging. I have to admit that I don't mind waiting for slow chargers, so maybe that's the secret. Several times I've had to wait ~1h to go from 30-80% on a 50kwh charger, and I didn't mind at all.

* attached some random pics of my i4, because why not? I love this thing 😍

Edit: Is it just me, or are pictures broken on i4Talk? I can't see my pictures outside of the thumbnails in edit mode, and I can't see most other pictures either 🤔

I think the forum has a "general" problem with certain pictures. I sometime can't even see the avatar of a member.
