Can we get the user manual in pdf ?

My dealer told me "No, you I have to use a bmw application, which requires a VIN, that you'll get at the delivery of your vehicule"

I can't believe it, I find it so ridiculous

Do you have any other information?

For a secound, I hoped that a PDF download link would be in this thread before I clicked it

I would also love to get the manual to check all the features of the car. For example if the i4 will have augmented reality navigation like the iX or not.

What a bad consumer experience 😭

Sub-question : if I get the VIN on a video (if they are not hidden) will I have access to the manual or is it limited to a single owner?

Probably, don't count on it though, I've been trying for a while now, and haven't been able to find a VIN yet.

We have a EV car fair in Copenhagen this month. BMW is on the list but I dont know if they will show up with a i4.

If they do, I will take a picture of the VIN

Me too, although I recently searched if there is one.

That's not good service from BMW.
Mercedes had a rich online manual, not only pdf.

The manual says that USB can be used for music playback. It dosent say anything about file types or if movie playback is possible.

I know movie playback is possible from USB in idrive7. Was it the same way for idrive 7 manual, that the feature is there, but isn't written in the manual?

The same goes for Android mirror casting. The manual dosent say anything about this. But the feature is available in idrive7. Really hope they haven't removed this

It didn't go much into detail at all about the menus for navigation. Maybe there is a dedicated manual for the idrive system. That was the case for my Audi A4

I am thinking the same thing. My bmw k1600b mc has a general manual like this and then a separate manual for audio, ie: infotainment, etc.
