I can report same issue on both my i4 and my wife's i5. Mine went from 38% to 100% to 18% and is now charging again. App still says 38%. My wife's i5 went from 32% to 80% and still says 32%. I thought initially it was a weak cellular signal issue by my house, but my i4 went over 200 miles today and did not change/update power on the app.

I speculate its a BMW server issue.

Still waiting . . . sent customer feedback via the app. I spent a good portion of my career working for other OEM auto manufacturers. I'd have to believe they know they've got a problem. How long to fix it? Who knows. There is probably a daisy chain of suppliers that all have to be working properly for the GUI on our App to function properly. I'd guess they're all pointing fingers at each other right now. LOL

Looks like a BMW server issue happened yesterday with updates to the MyBMW app charging status - there was no problem on Saturday, and both my BMW (iDrive 6 and 8.5) are showing the same charging status freeze in the app.

Same issue with me. MyBMW app is stuck on the charging level from a few days ago even though I have driven several hundred miles and have charged twice since then. Also, the departure times on the app are wrong. So annoying.

Same boat here. Saturday everything worked, yesterday everything was stuck. I have a X3 30e (iDrive7) and that one updated the fuel level but not the range. SOC and eDrive Range is also stuck.

Just joining the chorus here as well. 430i convertible data seems to be unaffected as consumption from a saturday drive is correctly reflected. i4 however does not reflect current SOC even though it does show a Sunday charging session.

@Bluehighways had a brilliant insight: sending feedback through the App.

if dozens of i4 drivers (and i5, iX) send feedback about wrong SoC on App, the amount of complaints will cross the threshold (I work with software, I know a thing or two about it) that will tell BMW to get their software/SysPps/DevOps teams to stop drinking beer and have a go at the issue.

Done.

A few days ago my car finally received 11/2023.73 which installed with no fanfare. Today after getting home and plugging my car in, a few hours later I noticed I had not received a notification from the app that my car had finished charging. I opened the app and it told me my car was still at 77% charge and not charging, which prompted me to check the car and see what was wrong. The car was plugged in and charged to 80% as expected.

I tried re-pairing my phone to the car and doing a full reboot of the car and the app still shows my car at 77% and unplugged. I have to assume that the software update has something to do with this, but I was wondering if anybody else had similar issues with their app? As a side note, other remote functionality works perfectly fine (e.g. climatization, lock/unlock, lights, cameras).
I am experiencing the exact same issue. The incorrect charging status is showing in both the My BMW iOS app and on the BMWUSA.com website.

Yes, MINi4 also suggested the same: https://www.i4talk.com/threads/my-b.../threads/my-bmw-app-not-showing-correct-charge-battery-status.11863/post-246065

I submitted this issue though the feedback and I imagine that others have done so as well. Let us see how long it takes them to resolve it.

It's still not working well here (California) as of Monday AM. The App went unstable yesterday (Sunday, 4/7) at about Noon California time. Issues include not recording a charge session, the charge level on the App is not accurate, not recording a 20 mile drive. The App does seem to know the correct location of the car. Anyhow, it will be interesting how this gets resolved.

I'm having the same issue. It's still displaying the SOC from 3 or 4 days ago, even though I have charged maybe 6 times since then. I'm not having any problems charging the vehicle, though, and the Charge History and My Trips history in the app is up-to-date. 🤷‍♂️
... And now to make matters worse, today I opened the app and "My Trips" is saying I need to "activate" it to start using it. WT*? I guess I probably lost all the data from my current out-of-town trip I was sort of looking forward to analyzing... :(

I have the problem as well, charged overnight but app says 64% soc and the charger plug in status is incorrect
must be a server issue that it doesn't get in-sync with the car

Seeing the same issue with the app here in the midwest on both our iX and i4. Hopefully they work out the issue soon.

It appears to be getting worse as I can no longer remotely lock/unlock my car from the app.

This app communication failure does seem to be exclusively a North America problem. I am sure they are well aware of the problem and with luck they will fix it and not break something else in the process... like bricking every electric BMW in North America.

EDIT: The problem is wide spread. Another thread from Europe is showing the same problems. https://www.i4talk.com/threads/problem-with-car-connection.11813/#post-245341

Same issue as everyone else re charge info. Point of Interest, our Mini SE is also having this problem.
edit: Just reported the issue on both the BMW and Mini apps.

Ditto – yesterday I was charging and the app failed to recognize it. However, today is does show the charging session, FWIW. Everything else is functioning normally – I can precondition, unlock the doors, etc.

My soc in the app differs from the car itself, which is concerning. Haven’t had to charge yet so not sure if that’s also off. Submitted feedback through the app.
