Yes. This works great. Makes sure in Settings if you give the My BMW app permission to read your Calendars.
Yes. This works great. Makes sure in Settings if you give the My BMW app permission to read your Calendars. Is it possible to have the BMW app automatically read the calendar appointments from your iPhone so that if an appointment contains location information, the navigation is ready to go the minute you hop in the car?
Same here. Could this be a US market restriction? No Calendar option within my iPhone either
My trick in this case is to just invite my personal email account to the trips I need to accessIn my case, my calendar is my corporate calendar, and that is not accessible from other apps
That could certainly be an option. My trick in this case is to just invite my personal email account to the trips I need to access![]()
Wow. Just wow. That worked. And now the Calendar access appears under the My BMW app settings. This is the least intuitive option to enable on the app. You have to click the “destination” icon in the navigation section pf the app and then select “upcoming”. The phone will ask you to grant the calendar permissions.

You are correct. You need to sync the calendar with the BMW app. I don't recall where it was in the app, but it asks if you want to sync them.
Wow, that's not intuitive at all! As before, I can only see my personal calendar (which I don't use), but the option is now there. Cool. This is the least intuitive option to enable on the app. You have to click the “destination” icon in the navigation section pf the app and then select “upcoming”. The phone will ask you to grant the calendar permissions.
You can do this under CarPlay, but I don't think iDrive shows the calendar.Where can I see my calendar in the car? I’ve been looking for it but cannot seem to find it, want to see it and press appointments to navigate to them as well as get automatic navigation suggestions when just getting in the car.
iDrive will not show my calendar but it does show the next event calendar in my navigation. It is interesting that some calendar events that have no location in my calendar show random places in the navigation screen. You can do this under CarPlay, but I don't think iDrive shows the calendar.
I noticed that today as well. I have a Google Meets meeting in my Calendar, and the location is the URL. Somehow BMW Nav interpreted the address as Utah! That's a 1,000 mile drive for a virtual meeting!! Thanks but no thanks BMW!iDrive will not show my calendar but it does show the next calendar in my navigation. It is interesting that some calendar events that have no location in my calendar show random places in the navigation screen.
Okay thanks. A bit disappointing since I’ve been trying to consolidate my use to one navigation for consistency (built-in or CarPlay) but it seems both of them lack different things so I have to keep switching between them…You can do this under CarPlay, but I don't think iDrive shows the calendar.
