I'm in need of a repair. I have a unique "beauty mark" on my rear hatch and bumper. I think the hatch will need replacement. I was going to take it to a local family shop I like. But for this repair I'm considering Patricks BMW certified shop. I figure they can get the parts quickest and I think it will need to go to service for rear camera replacement. Does anyone have any experience with them Patrick?

For those interested in the damage:

Thanks. I was mad a first. But I'm not going to get myself sick over it. No one hurt. Still drivable. The shop probably will be able to order parts and when they come in will leave it there for 7-10 days. 99% chance no one will ever be able to tell.

I was quite off on 7-10 days. I was first told 2-2.5 weeks. Then 2.5-3. Now about 3. My car is in lot all prepped for paint and shrink wrapped to protect it from the elements. I think they have a lot of business.

It's sad walking through the parking lot. There are a lot of high-end cars, lots of BMW's, in bad shape. There is one iX with about 100 circles keyed into the paint. WTH? Another iX that I think hit a curb at high speed. I think that one is done for. Another i7 that looks like it hit a curb on right side between the front and rear door. I wonder if they have a poor turning radius like the i4?

For fun, I thought I'd post a pic of my rental. I think it's hilarious. Not the Hemi as you might imagine :)

I picked up the car Monday. 4 weeks. The good news I cannot tell it was painted visually. The only indication outside of a paint thickness meter is some slight roughness on the lip where the hatch meets the window. Pretty minor. As with every paint job, I'll have to do paint correction in repaired areas for swirls. But I'm good at that process.

Timing was an issue. I do think they have more business and probably less employees. So I was sympathetic of some delays. However, there were a couple of instances where they were not proactive. They feel that a "one ping only" management process is acceptable and they don't need to proactively manage cost me at least a week. It would have been more had I not gotten involved. I think maybe a smaller shop who really needs turnover would have had some more urgency.

Overall, I'd probably use them again. They go the big part right which is it looks good.
