when BMW assigns production to dealership, do they specify x eDrive and y M50? Or they give total and up to dealer to decide? Wonder if M50 would move up faster since it is more profit for both bmw and dealer.

I think it's as you said, "x eDrive and y M50". I say this because my dealer had an available e40 allocation months back and could not "convert it" to an m50, which I was wanting to order.

if it is different pool, I am tempting to convert my order to M50. SA told me 60 edrive and 20 M50 on their waitlist. The config I am looking for is about $8k difference.
