Hi.

For those who are interested, I reserved my i4 edrive40 with the following options: premium enhanced group, M Sport group, laser headlights, lumbar support, black leather ventilated front seats (ventilated not available in cognac color to my great dismay). Added to this are 2 anti-theft devices which I won't discuss here, tinted windows and a protective transparent XPEL film on the hood, fenders and mirrors. 18-inch winter wheels with Michelin X-Ice Snow tires.

Reservation made at a Montreal dealer on October 8, 2021 with $1500 deposit, online configuration made in January 2022, allocation allocated in November 2022 (11 months later) and production mid-November, put on a boat on December 6, arrival in Halifax on December 27, scheduled arrival in Montreal by train on January 12, possession to be planned shortly. Total time: 15 months. Hoping that this history encourages some of you.

The provincial grant of $7,000 is not yet available, so I have to finance $7,000 more, but the dealer confirms that the 2023 edrive40 is eligible and that the government is slow to post it on their website, but gives the assurance that it will come in a few weeks. I will claim the $7,000 myself from the government. The federal grant of $5,000 is applied automatically upon signing the contract.

I will not post photos here to protect myself from theft.

Good continuity to those who wait. You have to be patient. Very patient.

@Vince777 what is vessel name of your? Mine in production in November and arrival at Montréal next week as per my dealer.
I will also have to get the Quebec subvention by myself. :(
I sent a mail to "ministère de l'environnement " to get the list updated, last update was on may 02, 2022.

The name of my vessel was the Morning Charlotte arrived last december 27. There is a normal delay to the Halifax port, each car has to be inspected by a BMW team. After, each car is put on the train for a variety of destinations in USA and Canada. My CA told me that my car will arrive by train from Halifax in Montreal train installation january 11. After, a van transport is required in the direction of the CA.

I have sent a email to the Ministère de l’environnement du Québec too. They answer me that the car will be add somewhere in 2023…🙃 No date.

I got a reply from " ministère de l'environnement ", they advise me to contact "roulez vert" for more information !!
In my mail I told them that I had already contacted them without answers, it's crazy.
So I sent a mail to my deputy so let see what kind of answer I will get back. I am not very optimistic.

People who ordered the i4 From March 2022 and onwards should already know that the cars will be available Fall 2023. This was mentioned on their website before placing a deposit so idk why people are agitated.

Not sure what that has to do with what OP posted but what you are describing is not how the ordering/allocation system works with BMW. Do some research on the subject and you will see you cannot really predict a delivery date until you have a scheduled production week. “Ordering” by putting a deposit doesn’t mean much if the dealer doesn’t get an allocation from BMW.

Patience my friend, it will come. Do you remember when the mach-e at Ford came out? There had been a problem about the eligibility of certain models and the owners finally received the subsidy. I am confident that we will receive the grant. In the meantime, you will therefore have to extend an additional $7,000 from your portfolio or in financing while you receive the grant. No choice.

At this point, you can no longer track your vehicule. Train transportation takes about 2-3 days and you have to calculate the same for the processing time at Montréal terminal. I think your car will be there towards the end of the next week.

Oh nice I have a few questions for u since u are in quebec like me. When did u place the order? Is it the e40? And are those the 18 inch wheels? Thanks
Hi @Kingjkv
It's an edrive40 with 18" wheels (standard on that trim) that I kept in order to have as much range as possible. Color Skyscraper gray with Tacora red Sensatec. I placed my reservation on Oct 14. 2021, production last November and received last Tuesday. I love it!

Yes, Continental's are great. I got the OEM winter kit so I have Goodyear but so far so good.

It's a wonderful car, I'm in love with it.
Comfort is impressive specially on 19" wheels that I have for summer.

Anyway, enjoy it!

From Quebec as well. Did you guys paid the 2023 price on your delivery or your initial price was respected? I reserved mine in sept 2021, final config was sent in April 2022 and I had to pay the higher price when I picked my car in November.
