Hi.
For those who are interested, I reserved my i4 edrive40 with the following options: premium enhanced group, M Sport group, laser headlights, lumbar support, black leather ventilated front seats (ventilated not available in cognac color to my great dismay). Added to this are 2 anti-theft devices which I won't discuss here, tinted windows and a protective transparent XPEL film on the hood, fenders and mirrors. 18-inch winter wheels with Michelin X-Ice Snow tires.
Reservation made at a Montreal dealer on October 8, 2021 with $1500 deposit, online configuration made in January 2022, allocation allocated in November 2022 (11 months later) and production mid-November, put on a boat on December 6, arrival in Halifax on December 27, scheduled arrival in Montreal by train on January 12, possession to be planned shortly. Total time: 15 months. Hoping that this history encourages some of you.
The provincial grant of $7,000 is not yet available, so I have to finance $7,000 more, but the dealer confirms that the 2023 edrive40 is eligible and that the government is slow to post it on their website, but gives the assurance that it will come in a few weeks. I will claim the $7,000 myself from the government. The federal grant of $5,000 is applied automatically upon signing the contract.
I will not post photos here to protect myself from theft.
Good continuity to those who wait. You have to be patient. Very patient.
