If you’ve ever hand waxed your i4 with paste wax you know how difficult it is to apply wax to the narrow painted strips right above the black plastic skirts on the side without accidentally getting some wax on the plastic.
Usually I try to have a wet microfiber towel to use to take off wax from plastic right away while still applying wax.
However I had some white wax residue left
on the black plastic. I didn’t want to use chemicals like Mother’s Back to Black which would have put a shine on my matte plastic trim and did a google search. JD Power recommended using an eraser. If you take an eraser and gently rub it back and forth the wax comes right off.
I used a German eraser for my German i4 that I picked up at the local Office Depot:
