According to this, it looks like it will recommend charging stations along your route if the destination will exceed the available range:

Some guy on YouTube did a demo where it worked like that:

He asked for a destination which was out of range, the system gave him direct route. Then after a few seconds the system realized that the current range was not enough and asked if it should adjust the route and add charging stops.

It is the best review to understand how the route planner works on i4. I want to understand more differences between this route planner and Google maps route planner. Thanks
And I wish I could do it on Apple Maps, but until I pair CarPlay with the i4, Maps won’t let me do it.

Hi.

Dose anyone know how the route planner works on i4 ?
Is it similar to Tesla?
Does it suggest stops and for how long we have to charge there ?
Download ABRP route planner (free) from Apple. Set Electrify America as preferred charging service. It’s a no brainer…excellent. I just did a round trip from San Diego to Flagstaff, AZ It worked perfectly.
The BMW route planner will direct you to the closest charger regardless of your destination or charging speed. It’s useless.
