Let's see your modified BMW i4!

Share photos/videos of it here, details about the modifications you made and anything else related you would like to include.

I think this will be a great resource for the community to discover new aftermarket parts, what modifications to do and get feedback them.

Sorry to those who have already seen these photos of my Wife's M50. Mine will be similar, yet Twilight purple, and have the AC schnitzer lowering spring kit. Also ivory white merino leather interior and M performance nightgold 20" wheels.

we also will be installing gloss black rocker panel pieces soon for each car. She will be keeping her's standard ride height.

both cars will have the crystal interior bits soon... like start button, idrive wheel, shifter, volume knob etc. in this photo only the start button and volume button are done so far. Taking the dash apart for the shifter is a bit more involved.

Hey Love your car!

Just curious, do you have the parts number for the front black emblem on the grillle? I can't find it anywhere.

Thanks!

I just installed the 868 wheels. I was afraid that the wheels would stick out too much without the rear fender flares that are installed by factory if you order the car with these wheel, but the fitment is perfect in my opinion. I also added the rear spoiler from the carbon package.
This really makes me wonder why they added the flares. But do you get TĂśV with that? Also it looks like you have quite some camber to make it fit.

That's sweet! Lowered, too, right?

Yeah, makes sense so without lowering they are probably "needed" to make it road legal in the EU without a negative camber which the lowering automatically adds.

Without lowering and the fenders the 868M look odd on this picture :D.

Bumping this thread with a few questions:

1. Anyone running spacers at stock ride height on 19s? Any meaningful impact on range?
2. If I add the OEM fender flares to a car with 19s, I assume I need to put the spacers on?
3. Going to try to avoid lowering but if I did lower how’s the ground clearance?
4. Any other must have exterior mods to get the car looking a little more aggressive?

I’m running 10mm spacers front and 13mm spacers rear on the OEM 19s and I haven’t seen and degradation in range that I can tell. I average about 75 on the highway and I’m averaging about 3.2.

I’m running H&R 12mm on the front and 15mm on the rear and have not had and degradation in range and I commute 90miles a day, so it would be noticeable if it would. Most people with the flares go with thicker than 15mm on the rear, but that’s personal preference. I’m anxiously waiting to installing H&R springs next week.

My m50 has 10mm front and 25mm rear with 20” nightgold wheels. Rear wheel is 9” vs the 10” stock wheel so a larger spacer is needed for this. Not to mention I’ve used ACS spring kit. Just be sure to take your car for a proper alignment after you lower it!
it will need alignment as things will be slightly off after. Don’t wait as tires are expensive.
Also, when adding the rear flares, remember there is still not any more space than if they were not there, so getting them flush is too risky imo, as tires could rub actually wheel well if you go too large of spacer. But these settings are mostly visual preference. And Bonoss spacer kits are actually are super good quality, worth checking out. h&R are as well but more expensive, I didn’t go with them as they didn’t have hardware that looked right with my wheels imo. And really like Bonoss hardware.
