Ex.: I ordered my car on the 16th of June.
From now on you are not allowed to leave out the year. So the correct way would be: I ordered my car on the 16th of June in the year AD 2021, where the indication AD can be left out.
No seriously, this is of course a joke but please, start adding the year to any date you give, because in a few months things will become complicated and confusing...
