Great news! I'm happy for Europe, and more optimistic for the U.S. For my American compatriots though, it will take more time in the US, since Tesla agreed with the European authorities to use the CCS Type 2 common connector in Europe, so it was just a software change for them to enable European non-Tesla owners (plus the non-Tesla owner account setup on their web site), whereas in the US, we'll have to wait for some kind of adaptor to plug their proprietary (male) plug to the (female) CCS type 1 that is becoming the standard for cars over here (Ford, GM, Audi, BMW, and I think Nissan says the are transitioning). The adaptor they announced a few months back works the other way, allows Tesla car owners to use non-Tesla chargers (male Tesla-female CCS Type 2). I saw this wrong sex adaptor (for us non-Tesla owners) briefly on their website but they took it down and now only show their AC-only adapter.
