We had a total of 11 i4’s show up, it was very good meeting everyone and thanks @Alexpapas for the ride (and leading the pack) and lunch suggestion, timing worked out great!

This would be our second meetup and drive in SoCal. Let's keep the momentum going, looking forward to seeing even more i4's than in our previous drive.

Ride details :
  • We would meet at the Malibu Bluffs Park(24250 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA) on Sunday, August 13th @ 9:00AM 15~ cars should have no issues parking there. (Google Maps).
  • At 9:15AM, we would leave and take a scenic drive ~25 or so miles total, starting on Pacific Coast Hwy, then up Latigo Canyon Road all the way up to where Latigo Canyon Road intersects with Kanan Road. After we get to Kanan Road we'll head back down Kanan Road to Pacific Coast Highway. If time allows, join us for lunch at Neptune's Net (42505 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA).

I am attaching a Map with addresses for easy reference.

Fast charging options close to starting point:

  • 1 miles from bluffs park: Electrify America Charging Station, 3822 Cross Creek Rd, Malibu, CA 90265 (3 CCS stalls) - probably busy since they're only 3 stalls.
  • 13 miles from bluffs park: EVgo Charging Stations:, 1334 5th St, Santa Monica, CA 90401 (10 CCS stalls) There are 3 EVGo locations in the same area, multiple options
  • 13 miles from bluffs park: EVgo Charging Stations:, 1636 5th St, Santa Monica, CA 90401 (8 CCS stalls)
  • 13 miles from bluffs park: EVgo Charging Stations:, 1855 Main St, Santa Monica, CA 90401 (7 CCS stalls)
  • 21 miles from bluffs park: Electrify America Charging Station, 6000 Sepulveda Blvd, Culver City, CA 90230 (10 CCS stalls) - likely best for people driving north to get to the meetup

Other notes:
  • Depending on traffic we could easily spend 30% SoC on this drive, please have at least 40% SoC at the meetup place.
  • Amenities:
    • Restrooms should be available at Bluffs park and definitely at the Neptune's Net restaurant.
  • It is hard to anticipate how many would be interested and show up, details of this ride might change the day of depending.
  • Thank you @Alexpapas for suggesting this ride.
Great meeting all of you on person. Looking forward to the next outing. Thanks @cruzer666 for organizing.

Looking forward to meeting everyone too! 😎
I have 3 of the compartments in the pic up for grabs. First 3 to ask get one!
I'll give @cruzer666 first right of refusal, since he set this up for us all.
The multi quantity discount vs shipping was almost a wash.
I use mine for the garage fob. Our garage door opener refuses to speak to either car.

That’s often how it is. It’s uncanny how the day after you wash your car a bird does a bombing run or Thor decides to relieve himself…
uncanny isn’t it

I get that! I'm hardly an enthusiast, myself. This is the first time I got a car worthy of enthusiasm 😅
That said, I always figured with BMW there would be some variability in preference, mainly because some people prefer the pure RWD feel over how AWD feels.
It’s tomayto, tomahto, 40 with the RWD but lighter weight compared to the more powerful but heavier AWD version. Both are fantastic and have a bit of a different flavor. Good debate for the next meetup over a pint.

I have a brand new BMW OEM cargo net available which fits the i4 perfectly. First 1 to ask gets it!
Thanks for the net! I think I came out ahead in the swap. Great meeting you. 😎

Great to meet everyone! Beautiful cars! Fun drive, great food, good conversation. 10/10!
Thanks for arranging @cruzer666 !

Looks like only two cars with front licence plates..............hmmm.............. I don't have one either.
