Okay guys I did chat with a tint shop in south bay and they have one in the Marion’s. Let me know if this is a decent quote?

I had a previous car tinted at Elevenace in Hawaiian Gardens and they did an excellent job. I shopped around for a place that used Llumar ceramic. They just recently quoted me $320 for Llumar IRX on the wife's X3 sans windshield.

They also gave a quote for Legend PPF for the M50. "Full frontal. Hood, fenders, front bumper, full rockers, side mirrors, headlights. $2250."

I'll probably go back there for those two treatments.

Hmm personally think the tint price is a high for the Suntek Film. Spec wise its comparable to middle tier film from 3M, Formula 1, XPEL.

$875 could get you the top tier films like 3M Crystalline or Formula 1 Stratos or Xpel XR Plus.

vs.

Just my 2 cents

I spoke with these guys today. They have great reviews on Yelp. I posted their quote below

Thanks for this. I am considering them, Precision One and another shop (buddy of a buddy 😁)

But I think Fresh for the window tint is good, unless I get a sweet discount by getting all the work done in one shot.

Precision One is in South Bay? Lol what’s the other shop you were referred to if you don’t mind sharing lol if not it’s okay. just trying to find best quality work for my new ride. 🏎🏎

Totally missed this i am not sure of tint level. i don’t want to go to dark because oddly i think it’s will take away from the car. so one person i spoke said maybe a 50 or 40.

what level are you interested in what color is your car?
Not sure either. On this forum I'm seeing multiple people doing 35 in the front and 20 in the back.

First off congratulations which shop are you in and when is your i4 set to arrive. I am on the Capricornus Leader. should be here eom and hopefully in my real garage early august. so a mobile window tinting service that’s unique how do they know what colors of tint to bring? I definitely want to tint the front windows as well with clear uv tint so good ti know. but i will definitely look this company up, thanks for the suggestion. i wonder if they would commute to LA 🧐
Hello,
Our car was on Capricornus Leader as well. I tracked it from the UK stop to Port Hueneme via the Panama Canal. Now at the VDC in Oxnard. I noticed (via the NHTSA app the active Valet recall is now cleared for my VIN) meaning they are working on the car. We're expecting it to be loaded on a transport by 8/11 and to the dealer in Riverside by 8/12 or 8/13 (latest). Dealer says they need 1 to 1.5 days for PDI (includes a 100% initial charge process which takes 24 hours), then we can head over to complete the deal. We're expecting that to be NLT 8/15 but hoping for 8/13 or 8/14 if we're lucky.

On the tint and paint protection investigation I contacted Ceramic Pro (after watching a YT video on there process) authorized shop called "Inky Wraps" in La Verne. (service@inkywraps.com). I spoke with Nathan Anderson who was very knowledgeable and helpful with the protection options they offer. I received the quote (below). Nathan suggested 3-4 days to complete the work and allow the proper time to dry and sort out any minor issues (if needed) before driving it away.

Wash, Clay, Polish Decontamination & Enhances Gloss $190.00
Ceramic Pro - Gold $1,400.00
Ceramic Pro - Interior Seating $200.00
Ceramic Pro - Dash/Doors/Console/Carpets $200.00
Tint IR - 2 Windows Only $400.00
KAVACA PPF - Full Front End Plus+Tucked edges $1,900.00
includes a 15% discount on tint and interior ceramic package + PPF & Ceramic Combo Discount
SUBTOTAL $4,290.00
TAXABLE SUBTOTAL $1,100.00
TAX AMOUNT $112.75
DISCOUNT $461.00
AMOUNT DUE $3,941.75

Not bad at all. I have two quotes from a few of the recommendations given here. And based on your quote they are in line price wise. I am curious if the Ceramic for the interior, how does that work? Do you have the link so i may watch the video you mentioned. I’m still at the port same ship as you but my valet recall hasn’t cleared. i really would like to book an appointment with someone but I rather wait until k know i’m going to kick up my car which lol per Genius and my CA was supposed to be today but sadly it’s still in Oxnard 😟

Sorry, the last guy never came through.

I asked Precision One for a quote and never got anything back. Disappointing, but I'll follow up.

Need to ask Concours too.....lmk if you get any quotes. Seems like we are looking for the same work!

Here is one link to Ceramic Pro group.

Also, our car is schedule to be at the dealer by this Thu or Fri latest. We are planning to complete the sale and drive away this Friday unless something causes a delay. Good luck on getting your car soon. What dealer did you purchase from?

I’ve had Ceramic Pro on my 330, including inside and windshield. Good stuff. Still looks new.

Awesome thank you! That’s so cool
you are getting your car this weekend. And even better you don’t have to fret over this ev tax credit. I ordered from Beverly Hills BMW, overall decent experience. Funny i went in initially to upgrade to newer model of my current car and after a bit of research i decided the i4 is a better choice than a newer ice car.

thank again for the video. will reach out to these guys over the weekend.

Picking up our i4 on Friday. Any info on your pick up day? Since both cars were on the same ship, I would think yours is ready as well.

No just that valet recall most be cleared. My estimated eta to arrive at dealer was Monday. that’s fine and pass so who knows no am ready to head to oxnard and grab the car myself. lol enjoy your new ride 😎

Has anyone been quoted for ceramic tint on all windows? I see the quote for two windows. I was told $720 for all four. If 2 would be $400, seems like a deal.

Also, anyone planning to tint the moonroof? I sometimes close the interior panel during the summer, but prefer to keep it open because I like the light coming in.

It's a bit on the pricey side but if you're happy with the quality of the work it's worth it. Senior installers are going to charge more than the ones that came out of "school".

If you want the benefits from the ceramic tint, you'll have to do all windows, windshield and moonroof. You can use the lowest tint darkness on the windshield and moonroof and you'll still notice the benefit.

So we picked up the car today. Totally awesome vehicle. Even better than I thought it was going to be as far as the look with our selections. Alpine White with M-Sport Pkg and the Oyster Leather interior. The dealer also put on a 9H ceramic coating on the car (no charge). Hopefully you will get to pick your's up on Monday. So glad we were able to get the e40 with the upgraded suspension package since they deleted that option for the 2023's and now only offer it on the M50.
