There was nothing in that 2pm video.

Here is the link.

I was notified by email for the reservation which I setup months ago. I did setup my reservation today, but I still have not received my confirmation number. The FAQ is saying if I do not receive my confirmation number by e-mail. I must contact my selected BMW dealer.
I also placed a pre-order, not long after 6 pm, and haven’t received an email, almost 90 minutes later. No authorization on my credit card for the $1500, either.

I still have not received a confirmation number. I re-preorder again to see if I did something wrong. After I clicked the place order button the page it still took me to BMW accessories page, I was expecting to see your order is being processed.
I am receiving an error - that there are already multiple orders at my address (which is clearly not true)

Yup, same. Redirected to accessories page.

When you place your deposit, do they let you know what you are getting for your money? In other words, what comes with the MSRP? Are there add-on packages? Do alternative color choices cost extra? Etc.

Both Canada and the UK show color options, wheel options and interior trim materials/colors on their pre-order form.

Has anyone reached out to a US dealer to see if there are more details to come? Was planning on going to my local BMW dealer the next week or two to get an idea if the i4 is for me.
The reservation process was easy. I received a confirmation email in minutes followed by an email from the local sales manager. He followed up with a call this morning. Sounds like I will not hear from them again until September. So far, so good.
Tried the online configurator for color options: BMW USA, BMW UK and BMW Canada all seem to contain the same color options.

For the i4 M50, none of the colors appeal to me.... and the color I want ("Arctic Racing Blue" that looks so nice on the M440i) is nowhere to be found.

Does this mean I am out of luck? Or will I be able to somehow custom configure a color for the M50?
I just placed the pre-order, heard from local dealership shortly after. They're asking me to go in soon to discuss the details - pricing, configurations, etc. This is earlier than I expected or what is stated on the website.
Does anyone else have the same experience? What does this meeting usually mean?

Welcome to the forum @Nate99! That does seem earlier than expected but it could be a good sign with how ready they are. How are you looking to spec your i4?

You might need to reach out to a dealer or BMW directly to see what could be done. If not you might need to wrap your i4 to get the Arctic Racing Blue.

My dealer called the day after I placed the pre-order. He indicated that the group is one of the larger BMW groups in the US and that they would be getting their allocation near the front of the line. He told me that they would not be talking to customers about configurations until they knew their allocations in September.

Thanks! I'll have to go in and see what's available, not much configurations/packages to play with online. I'll keep you all posted if that ends up happening.

I placed my order on Tuesday about 20 minutes after the pre-order site opened. I did not receive a confirmation email so I got in touch with my dealer. He said BMW was evidently having all kinds of problems with the pre-ordering on Tuesday and Wednesday and that the credit card system wasn't working. BMW manually entered my information into the system for a pre-order.

I was told I will be able to spec the color and options sometime in the fall.

The person called me last week was from customer relation, apparently, and had misinformed me about going in now to configure the car. Another sales person called me and said that won't be until the fall.
