Finally was able to cast phone apps to Android Auto.... total pain as I cant root my S22U, i dont even know if i could do it from scratch again, but will try on extra phone i have
YouTube works ok but Netflix is giving me a black screen sometimes, am pretty sure is because it has to stream via mobile connection since Android Auto takes over the wifi, and i had crappy signal.

I dont really care about streaming, what i really want to do is to build a nice dashboard showing multiple telemetry screens from OBD2 app

Does anyone know of any EV friendly OBD2 android apps? I use Torque a lot but its really all about ICE
I have the vlinker adapter but have no idea what data streams are available, probably have to look at the protocol see what bmw puts out...

no its called CarStream (apk), had to downloaded thru some link in xda-developers.com, but installing the apk was easy, the hard part was how to get it to show up on AA w/o rooting, apparently AA locks/restricts which apps can be in AA menu, ill am doing a reinstall on another phone will write it all down....

but honestly after using for a few days, this sucks the battery down hard, and if I charge at the same time the phone overheats! (Android warning, etc).....so am looking for a mount that goes by AC vent or something

Might just buy an old android phone for cheap to do this. Won't care if battery is overheated cause it'll only serve one purpose
