BMW App account for test drives?

I'm about a week away from beginning the test drive process. Is it worth getting the BMW App and setting up an account on my phone for this? Will I be able to have at least some of the settings follow me from car to car on multiple test drives?

I'd ask at the dealership, but the knowledge displayed by the salesman I talked with was...lacking. And I'd rather show up prepared.

Should be possible and it does take settings across. When I switched from a 2020 M340i Touring, to the i4, it brought across my seating position! Wasn't quite right but close.

Also noticed when I rearranged all the app icons on my idrive 8.5 i4, they also reflected on my wifes iX1 running idrive 8.

ConnectedDrive may not be allowed for a loan/test car as it may start the clock for certain services and isn’t ‘yours’. There will also be data privacy concerns.

You can use a BMW ID in any BMW, but it can't be primary for a fleet/test car, usually.
