Yes, I received the same but in Swedish. I am not worried. The8 hackers got hold of my adress and email address. Nevertheless, I logged into my bank and checked, no money is missing, but I will keep an eye on it for a while even though they said that no payment information has been stolen.

In 2025, I believe that it is safe to say that our personal data is not secure, no matter what company has it, large or small.

In the US, for sure, probably true everywhere else, too.

Some hackers have the mindset that the harder it is to get into a system, the more enticing it is.

The targets are not helping by hoarding more and more of our data, even when it isn't needed.

There will always be bad actors, willing to exploit the worst ways to combine these factors, and with global connectivity, government is limited in what it can do.

 

Yes. Not a “hack” ( probably one of the most incorrectly used words this decade )..but an unauthorised data access. Not too worried, no payment details accessed. Sounds like someone in the 3rd party support partner was accessing data they didn’t need to access for whatever reason.

 

Interesting info is that KIA owners have received exactly the same mails and info. Looks like Digital Charging Solution serves many other car brands as well.

I thought it was a BMW unit but does not seem to be so.

Could well be through Ionity, but have no info on that.

I know that the pricing to charge at Ionity is complete out of touch with Kia, like so many other roaming card suppliers, PlugShare etc. we are quite lucky to have good competitive pricing with the BMW Charging service.
