That may help you if you get questioned on the $7500 federal tax rebate. 00/00/2022 is technically before 08/16/2022:D
I already got my rebate money, and I already put my date sold as August 16th, 2022 when I did my taxes. Idk wtf is going on anymore lol

I'm waiting for my Fisker to file.

Since the Feds fixed the guidance the credit is back for me for both cars.

My Fisker should arrive in July, I think.
I already have the keychain only sent to customers of the ONE.

2023 M50 - Tanzanite over tartufo full individual leather, 20" wheels, fully loaded.

I just got my renewal registration, it says first date sold is 00/00/2022

Lol what???
That's what all california renewal registrations show, there is never a month or year. If you need to know the actual first date of sale, check your pink slip @Fayt349

I just tried to renew the registration for my i4, it says 782 dollars total. This is the most I've ever seen ever. I'm in San Jose California.

Can other people post how much their costs is to know if this is fair for me?

@Fayt349 You getting off easy.............my renewal in Nevada is $868.00 🙁

I just used my friend Google. Apparently CA is charging a flat $200 per EV, and $100 per plug-in hybrid. Starting this year it will go up $3 every four years.
So Google tells me it's 58 cents gas tax per gallon in CA, that works out to 345 gallons of gas per year to equal $200. My previous car had a ~15 gallon tank, which is 23 FULL tanks per year, filling up from almost empty every two weeks. That's BS, I never drove even close to that much, usually I could fill up every 4-6 weeks depending on my driving habits. Oh well, what else would I expect from the land of taxes, I get the need to make that revenue up, so I guess those of us who can afford a nice EV have to "pay our 'fair' share";).

This is starting to get off topic, but CA sometimes has an odd way of encouraging people to be more environmentally conscious and/or progressive. With the new electricity pricing scheme the PUC is going to put into place in a few years, it will totally discourage rooftop solar as well (which we were planning on doing, but likely not anymore).

My california registration fees renewal came in almost exactly the same as @Fayt349 , $794 total with the deductible portion at $389. as mentioned before this is not unusual for a California vehicle priced at this level.

I don't know why it's higher here in Nevada.........oh well, I just paid it. :(

$800 in Sacramento. That was expected. What was not? State Farm increasing my premiums for no reason. :(

0.3! 🙂
Maybe I phrased the question poorly because I don’t understand the response. (Although I know you waited forever for these plates.) How many years is the new registration good for?

I thought you were joking. In California it's an annual fee.

Damn!!! $901 for one year? Feeling super lucky mine was around $900 for 4 years in Oregon, with a vanity plate and special plate.

But you don't get to drive on our poorly maintained highways.

Not joking; genuinely curious. I know WA is 1-year as I lived up there for 10 years, and theirs is wild expensive too. When we got our 2013 X5 in 2015, it was something like $500/year.

I believe that CA (as does NC) includes a property tax on the car, which may be in the order of $700 for some folks.

So the registration alone may be similar to yours
