I spoke to my local genius and was told they still don't have a fix. They said that Apple had to make some software patches before BMW could.

At least rebooting the system sorts it out... a pain, but not a fatal flaw.

It is strange. Mine has worked flawless since the 3-2023.53 was installed ota in March. It was driving me nuts before the update. I hope it keeps working. My sister in law bought an i4 in March and she said she has never had the problem. I thought it was fixed for all.

Sorry if I'm adding more noise. I'm on OTA 11/2022.64. Since I unpaired and stopped wearing an Apple Watch, I've had almost no drifts. Might be lucky?

Hope the fix will roll out soon to dealers.

I too am on the 11/2022.64. After reading all of these posts about this I decided to watch mine. While it was drifting and showing me driving across a gulf coarse I disabled Bluetooth. It stayed connected to apple CarPlay through wireless. Instantly the arrow showing my car moved to be right on point to my location. I then turned Bluetooth back on and it is still working.
It seems like the issue may just be with the Bluetooth connection I’ll keep watching it and see if it fixes it if it happens again.
I know it is not a fix but it worked instantly and stayed on point the rest of my trips that day.
Hope it helps until there is a real fix.
