Using the new yeti ones.

I have returned to the bmw family but forgot how narrow the cup holders are. Anyone have any travel coffee mug recommendations? My Fellow one is way too thick
I have a 20oz Contigo Autoseal that fits perfect. It is tall and slim, but doesn't interfere with anything. The 16oz fits too. Didn't fit in my 2011 BMW, so I'm happy!

"...they have an inside volume of 12oz, so given the dual walls of the mug, conceivably a 16 oz paper cup could fit in the holder."
This Contigo 16oz insulated cup fits in the holder. Two fit easily. They come in great colors.
I have a 22oz that fits fine too. I quote you @gsbaker because this one is a dead ringer for Sunset Orange!

Cheers!

I will say that the door cup holder is a complete disappointment! It's too short and small for virtually any of the bottles I usually use. I'm going to have to figure out how to carry the water I usually do in this car, since the old 330 plan won't work due to the change they made to the door holder.

Ok... the door bottle holder is terrible for me and won't hold any of my various and sundry water bottles. Post here bottles you've found which work well for both the door (the tougher of the two!) and the console cup holders.

For those of you interested, I ordered this from amazon:
Not great but it does work. Turns one cupholder into 3 plus an adjustable diameter one for super large cups, buckets or food.
Not really big around on the drink holders but it gives you alot of them.

Hang on... there's a cup holder in the door?

more of a bottle holder. it's angled forward and fits my hydro flask and swell bottles just fine... neither have a huge capacity, though (like 16 and 21 ounces respectively I believe).

Y’all must have huge bladders to need so much capacity 😅

A 1 litre water bottle fits there nicely. I'm going to try the various Swell ones and see how large a volume I can get in there

The 4 is certainly bigger than the 8. The max I was able to get in my last car door was a 9oz swell bottle. It was about the same size as most 12oz single-use bottles:

Well I never. This is why I like this forum, I learn things here. I’d never have noticed something like that! Thanks SSH. 😎

This is the one that fit… it’s about 3” in diameter.

I’m trying to figure out if one of the Yeti Yonder bottles will fit (3.1” and 3.4” diameter).

This fits nicely.

(and I just realized this isn’t the thread I thought)

Well, I have a few cups and bottles that seems too big for the i4. They fit in my x5 just fine but noooo i4 wanted to be different. I am open to suggests!
For a serious problem like this, I would trade-in the i4 for another x5
