There aren’t that many settings for DAPP, the most important one is Assisted Driving Plus which you have it On for traffic jam assist. Most of the control for DAPP is on steering wheel where you can adjust distance and setting speed.

 

So strange! Is this an older version or something else? Looked like you could adjust stuff like cornering speed.

I enabled some of it back in my car, but there’s still some missing features (ex. Traffic Sign Recognition. In Europe, the car will warn you of yield, stop signs, etc.)

In european i4s you can see those settings but they are available only on certain handful of countries so most of the i4 drivers won't get these features, unless they visit those special countries with their i4s.

 

Well like I said, these features vary a lot between regions.

 

It's most likely not a function of regional laws but rather the quality of the map data in the areas in question. Lane advice is hit or miss in the US even within a single state or county. Heck, even on the same road!

 

There are actually significantly more comprehensive lane features. That's probably what the "lane guiding with navigation" is referring to. I coded it in my car. In the DAPP instrument cluster, it shows you when to make lane changes, and will vibrate the wheel gently (steering wheel impulse) when it wants you to do an auto lane change, and will display the space between vehicles in the intended lane. It'll even slow down to find a spot for you, and will not let you pass a car if you need to get in a lane that is occupied. Once you're in the offramp, it'll auto slow down and come to a crawl (but not a stop) at the intersection. It looks like this:

The lane change marking/current lane position in the HUD is the basic version of this feature that was enabled by default in Canada.

 

Just seems like a load of gimmicks to me. The only part of DAPP that I find useful is ACC. I just don't see the point of the rest of it, I've been able to do it all, by myself, for 45 years.

 

Believe me when I say the features are truly beneficial on long motorway journeys during which they help avoid potential issues which arise after hours of driving at motorway speeds. It's likely more valuable in a country like the US than England, though.

 

There are some more advanced cruise control settings hidden in the Instrument Cluster > Speed Limit Assistance > Distance Controls area. Situational Distance Control option is here.

Kinda weird this is not inside the Driver Assistance area with the other cruise control like options.

 

Does anyone else not have cornering speed option available? I want to enable it as I find my car slows down too much for them

 

I think it is not available in Europe. At least not without hacking the software.
