Good morning All,

I had a drivetrain malfunction show up back in June. I took it to the dealership and they mentioned they could not determine why the fault happened. They kept the car for a week and could not duplicate the fault. However, the BMW App is still showing the message even til this day. The car has not displayed the message anymore but the app still does. The app says after a few drives the message should go away. It hasn’t. Any of you had this issue?

Not me, but others have.
Try logging out of the app and back in.

Ah. You hadn't said those in the OP.
Do you have an ODB scanner to try clearing faults with?

Otherwise, you're going back to the dealer at this point.

I have a similar issue. mybmw app shows I have an urgent lighting fault with the turn signals and need to take the car to the dealer. the check control in the car shows nothing and I have no lighting issues using the car. It showed up after I did my OTA update. I am guessing it is some sort of bug with the app where it doesn't recheck with the car to see if the fault is still valid.

What's a system check in the car? There could be hidden diagnostics faults only an OBD2 scanner can see. Ultimately, if logging out, reinstalling the app doesn't fix the issue, one could always remove and add the car back in the app that should trigger a refresh and clear any ghost trouble codes.
